WELCOME ADDRESS

The BESHA Health Training Institute (BHTI) established in 2012 is an Institute belonging to the BESHA Community Organization (BCO). As an Institute, our core responsibility is to provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning, knowledge generation and community health service. The training programs that are offered have been carefully designed to suit a reasonable range of medical service clientele. Individual students have the opportunity to choose program depending on their interest and convenience.

We wish therefore to invite individuals, institutions, development partners, the private sector, and well wishers to join us in this exciting initiative. Quality training is our motto. We are committed to create an outstandingly attractive environment to study and work. We are committed to build BHTI to an Institution of African standing that is capable of harnessing the power of knowledge to serve health well being. Join us in whatever way you can.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

BHTI strongly relies on the criterion for assessment of quality as reinforced by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) and Association of Private Health Facilities in Tanzania (APHFTA). This criterion is used alongside guidelines provided by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE). The guidelines from the regulatory authorities are in form of planning, implementation and assessment of the practices at the BHTI. In the quest for quality improvement, both internal and external evaluations receive sufficient attention.

The BHTI Committee serves as overseer of quality practices while specific Departments have established internal quality assurance systems that facilitate creation of a quality culture. BHTI is doing all that is possible to improve the quality of teaching, research and public health services.

In case of challenges, strenuous efforts are there to address them.

In fact challenges are to be expected, as life is by itself a challenge.

 LOCATION

In Tanzania Tanga City at the Mabawa Ward about 3 km south of the city centre where it is easily accessible by public transport from all city sites.
